Remember that April 4th also starts our “Spring Leaning” challenge! Be sure to weight in by then to get in on the action!
Rio, Britt and Joy make box Jumps look easy! I am amazed everyday at how determined the people are that grace the doorway of World Camp. It is an absolute privilege to see…
Saban, shown here with Sam, is Due April 2nd and will be taking her maternity leave. She would like to say “Thank you” to everyone who has been so concerned about where she has been as of late. She is at home with her feet up in preparation for the up and coming new entries to the family. She will be back, greeting you all at the door in no time!
This weekend Jessica, Cristy and Brandi are competing at “Three’s Company” in Dahlonega as a part of the Garage Games. After the 1st event all three girls are sitting in great position! There is still a long day ahead and we wish them the best of luck.
Meet Dusti, one of the Newbies here at World Camp. Dusti has been here about a month now and is making some serious moves! With a background in Power Lifting she understands fully the benefits of being strong as well as Fit. I am very proud of all that she has accomplished in the short time she has been here and I look for her to do some pretty amazing things in the future! Keep up the good hard work Dusti!
Matt has been an active member of World Camp for a while now and is in the best shape of his life! Although he is a Marathon runner, active cyclist and Iron Man, he can no longer be labeled as just an endurance athlete. Matt has been battling through WODs and making strength gains left and right. With this new found strength of his, there is no doubt that he has the ability to stand between us and Mother Nature! Keep up the great work Matt!
Great job to everyone who showed up this past Saturday! It is always fun to get a bunch of World Campers together, put them on teams of 4 and turn them loose on a workout! It is truly amazing to see how far you have all come in such a short time. Please don’t ever become complacent and always push yourself to be better!
This weekend, World Camp will be represented in Dahlonega by Jessica, Cristy and Brandi. These three will be competing against some of the most fierce competitors in the region at “Three’s Company,” as a part of the Garage Games series. Wish we wish them all well as I am sure they will do there best!
We would like to say a HUGE congratulations to World Camp’s own Sam Widman for completing his very first attempt at a full Marathon. He decided 2 weeks out that he wanted to compete and with only 2 runs under his belt, Sam finished with a time of 3:58 for the 26.2 mi. road race! Great job Sam, we are all very proud of you!!!
In talking with members and the everyday person I meet on the street about World Camp, I have come to the realization that there are many people out there that check this website site out constantly to see what we have going on. They do this without ever stepping foot in the gym and seeing first hand what we are all about.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
With all of this being said, CrossFit is for everyone! We have new people finding their way here every day, so you will not be alone.
Kris and Warren get some PR from Moxie Crunch!
