South GA Throwdown 2011
Oct 22nd – 23rd
As most of you know, this will be the 2nd year for “The South Georgia THROWDOWN!” Last year was a huge success as many of the regions best athletes traveled to Albany to compete. This year already has the makings of being a much bigger and better event! After long, sleepless nights of where this year’s THROWDOWN will be held, I have finally decided on having it right here at WCCF. I am very excited to make this announcement because this will allow for more thought to go into the WODs and to provide that “CrossFit” games feel that we have all come to love. By the time everyone arrives Friday, Oct. 21st for the “meet and greet” both an outdoor and indoor pull up rig will be assembled complete with Wall Ball targets and possibly rings! We keep roughly 6,000 lbs. of bumbers in the gym at all times and 40+ Olympic bars that will be used as well as enough sleds, stones, Kettle Bells and GHDs to provide for large heats! We are pulling out all the toys to give you, the competitor, the best experience possible! In continuance with last year, the THROWDOWN will be a spectator’s event as well! You will be able to get right up in the action to see the athletes and feel the energy that is produced during the WODs! All of us here at World Camp CrossFit are super excited about this years event and look forward to seeing you all here!
This two day event will be held on October 22-23rd,with Individual RX, Scaled, Masters and Teams of four will step up to see what they are made of!
The video below can answer a alot of the questions that we have been getting regarding weights and movements. Now, keep in mind that these movements will be incorporated in the Throwdown this year but in no way indicates how they will be used in the actual workouts. Also, the movements that you will see will not be limited to the movements listed on the video. This is just a reference for you to use when choosing the category in which you sign up for.
In regards to teams, teams will be comprised of 2 male and 2 female competitors. Teams will be asked to perform various movements and tasks but will not be limited to the movements on the video.

Will the teams be 4 people this year? I looked up last year and noticed it was two person teams. Must there be two women and two men or any combo?
I signed up last week and did not recieve a conformation number so do I need to re sign up or what. Thanks
